Nestled at the southern end of Cawdor Estate, and within the stunning landscapes of the Cairngorms National Park, Resaurie is a haven of peace, tranquillity, and nature.
Located down its own gravel estate road, and surrounded by fields, forests and hills, you could be spotting deer, hares and buzzards out the windows, as well as many other species. It’s just a short drive to Carrbridge with its famous old packhorse bridge, or the nearby centres of Grantown-on-Spey or Aviemore, not to mention the rest of the National Park. The house itself has 3 comfortable bedrooms, 2 modern bathrooms, and a lovely spacious open plan kitchen, dining area, and lounge, with a log burner nestled in the corner for those winter nights, or just for the ambience on a summer’s evening.
Whether you want to relax or explore, there’s plenty to do near Resaurie. You could:
Hike along our estate roads to take in the views or take the short drive to Carrbridge a few minutes away to view the famous old packhorse bridge and stop by the amazing Carrbridge Artists Studio shop. If whisky is your thing, then the wonders of Speyside are also not far away, with many famous distilleries to visit. For the children there is the Landmark Forest Adventure Park, Strathspey Steam Railway, plus reindeer, go karts and lots more in Aviemore. You can also drive up to the base station at Cairn Gorm Mountain with its cafe and hiking in summer, and skiing in the winter.
All properties include microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, television and hairdryer. All bed linen and towels are provided. A hamper featuring local produce is also provided.
Logs and a stock of kindling are provided free of charge for the duration of your stay. Only adults may light and maintain fires and fireguards provided must be used.
The house itself is surrounded by the beautiful countryside at the far south end of Cawdor Estate, yet the lovely village of Carrbridge is just 3 miles away, and the bustling centre of Aviemore only 9 miles distant.
