The bold blue exterior of this traditional harled farmhouse matches the clear Scottish skies. Inside, we’ve revamped every room to the high standard you’d expect, but kept many original features.

You could spend the day shooting at Rothiemurchus Clay Shooting Ground. Or take a tour of Glenfiddich distillery near Dufftown, the malt whisky capital. Return to the comfort of open fireplaces and chunky rugs on stripped floorboards.

And it’s easy to make a picnic or Eton mess with strawberries from Hardmuir Farm in the well-equipped kitchen. With three bedrooms and a garden surrounding the cottage, everyone has space to relax.
