Whether it’s bluebells blooming in Spring, or golden foliage in late October, you’ll always wake up to impressive views of the countryside surrounding Ivy Cottage.
Step inside and you’ll spot charming stripped wooden floorboards, sash windows, and a restored Victorian fireplace with stacks of logs. Ivy cottage has a well-equipped kitchen. So why not make the most of the wild Scottish larder – start by serving foraged wild mushrooms, followed by locally sourced oysters for main and finish with strawberries from Hardmuir Farm.
The three bedrooms are tastefully styled, but have that comforting homely feel. After all, you need somewhere great to rest after roaming the rolling hills. And with a secure hedged garden around the cottage, children and dogs can explore safely.
Whether you want to relax or explore, there’s plenty to do near Ivy Cottage. You could: Explore pine woodlands and heather-clad moorlands; Spot rare wildlife, including red squirrels, red kite, pine martens and more; Cycle quiet country roads to experience the wilderness of the Highlands; Take the children to Landmark Forest Adventure Park for the day; Admire the work of contemporary artists at Gordon Brown’s Gallery in Tain.
All properties include microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, TV & DVD player, iPod docking station and hairdryer. A welcome hamper is provided in the cottage for your arrival All bed linen and towels are provided.
Logs and a stock of kindling are provided free of charge for the duration of your stay. Only adults may light and maintain fires and fireguards provided must be used.
